We are currently updating all our support videos following the recent major refresh of The Church Organiser look.  Some of the videos will still have the old look

Adding Clergy

Each service in the Life Events Diary allows you to add the name of the person who will be taking the service, from the Minister dropdown menu.

For a person to appear in the Minister dropdown menu, that appears in all the Life Event services, you will need to mark them as a Vicar.

You can do this by going to People, finding the relevant person, clicking the Edit button and clicking the Churches tab.  You will see a tick box labelled Vicar and you'll need to tick the box alongside the relevant churches.

If the person has not already been added to the LED, you will need to add them first.

To add a new Vicar into the LED, you will need to access the ‘People’ module.

Click the ‘People’ icon on the dashboard, or select it from the dropdown menu, to be taken to the ‘People’ module.

To add a new person, click the ‘Add Adult’ button, which you will find at the top right of the screen. You will then need to add some details for the new person.

The minimum information you need to add is a name and an email address. The email address will then act as the username and is where the password will be sent once the profile is complete.

If you have a photo of the person, and they are happy for you to add it, this can be done by clicking ‘Change Image’ followed by ‘Upload Image’. This will allow you to select the image from your computer’s hard drive.

If the person has indicated how they would prefer to be contacted, the relevant check boxes under ‘I am happy to be contacted by:’ can be ticked, or unticked, as required.  You are also able to indicate if the person has given permission for you to store and process their data, by ticking the relevant tick box.  Once you tick the box, you can add notes to record how permission was given and under what legal basis it is being granted.

Once all the details you have are completed, click the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page.  You can then follow the instructions at the beginning of the video to mark them as a Vicar.
